Proof of Notice was made.
Mayor Letica opened up the meeting;
Mayor Letica reported that we received a FOIL from Newsday. Village Clerk noted the specifics of the FOIL.
Mayor Letica reported that the Village received a notice from Suffolk County pertaining to a beach lot in foreclosure. Village Clerk will follow up and send a response to Suffolk County.
Mayor Letica reported on National Grid sand placement and he noted that they are up to house number 160. Trustee Jablonski asked how much sand per lot. Mayor Letica noted that National Grid has placed approximately 16,000 cubic yards, and will continue through December 2013.
Mayor Letica noted that our Village Attorney recommended that the Board discuss re-wording some of our code chapters using General Code. Village Clerk will contact General Code for pricing estimates.
Trustee Burke discussed options regarding a village fence ordinance. Trustee Jablonski noted that the higher fences are going up because of damages and safety issues from deer. He noted that some areas in the village may call for different heights of fencing based on specific needs. Deputy Mayor Pierce noted that some fencing in areas by her block water views. Trustee Jablonski noted that fencing can be zone specific, etc. Mayor Letica noted that each of the trustees should come up with our own proposals regarding fencing.
Deidre Butterfield from the Town of Huntington, Mayor Doll & Trustee McMullen with Northport Village and Ed Carr with the Town of Huntington was present and discussed the IMA (Inter-municipal Agreement). Mayor Letica requested that several changes in the wording of the agreement be made. Deidre Butterfield noted that the town will make the recommended changes and send a revised agreement to both villages for review.
The board discussed the Fire Service Contract with Mayor Doll and discussed a possible five year contract with a 3% increase beginning January 1st, 2013 through December 31st, 2017.
Mayor Letica noted that the Village Hall Restoration Committee met with an architect, Victor Cuneo, Architect P.C. and asked the board to review the proposal from the architect to finish the plans and perform site inspections and write up specifications for the bid package for approximately $22,600.
The board discussed different ways to approach fence guidelines.
Resolution (2013-233) Be It Resolved, that the Village Board does authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Victor Cuneo, Architect P.C. for architect and project manager services not to exceed $25,000, subject to Village Attorneys review for form.
Mayor Letica made a motion to approve, seconded by Trustee Ettinger.

The board discussed the format of the agenda. Mayor Letica noted that the current format of the agenda has been consistent going back to the Kelly Administration.
Mayor Letica made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Trustee Ettinger.
