October 15th, 2013 3:00 P.M

At the Village Hall Trailer

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Proof of Notice was made.

 

Mayor Letica opened up the meeting;

Trustee, Laura Burke arrived at 3:07pm

 

Mayor Letica discussed the status of the Village Hall Project.  Trustee Ettinger gave an update to the board, noting the progress and discussed some recommendations that were made for additional test borings.

 

Mayor Letica reported that Lindley Asphalt Paving Inc. will begin work on repairing several areas of Asharoken Avenue and should be completed by tomorrow.  All work performed will be covered 100% by CHIPS.

 

Mayor Letica reported on the placement of sand by National Grid and noted that it will be placed on the beach beginning October 21st.

 

Village Clerk, Nancy Rittenhouse reviewed the grant proposals that are being worked on; she noted that the JCAP (Justice Court Assistance Program) grant application has been submitted.  The grant was submitted for two requests, one for court software $3000 and the second for court construction for $27,000. The HMGP (Hazard Mitigation Grant Program-404) is being filled out and the deadline is October 30th.  She also discussed a new grant from the Division of Land and Forests grant through the NYSDEC.  This is being researched.

Mayor Letica reported that no new update on the grant submitted to Senator’s Marcellino’s office.

 

Mayor Letica noted that our Santa Visit will be held on Sunday, December 15th at 4:00pm.

 

Mayor Letica and the entire board of trustees discussed the IMA agreement and reviewed several components within the agreement. 

 

Village Clerk, Nancy Rittenhouse gave an update on the Sluice Project and noted that FEMA will be reimbursing the village for pre-disaster work to the sluice; she noted that we are waiting for the final approval.

 

Resolution (2013-122) Be It Resolved, that the Village Board does hereby accept and acknowledge that the Court Audit for the period 5/01/2012 through 4/30/2013 was conducted and performed by Skinnon and Faber CPA. P.C.

 

 

Deputy Mayor Pierce made a motion to approve, seconded by Trustee Ettinger.

The board discussed having the next work session meeting on November 12th at 3:00pm at the Village Hall Trailer.
