Proof of publication was made.
Mayor Letica opened up the meeting and began with the resolutions.
Resolutions:
Resolution (2016-50) Be It Resolved that the Village Board does hereby approve the village budget for fiscal year end 5/31/2017.
Trustee Ettinger made a motion to approve, seconded by Deputy Mayor Pierce.

Resolution (2016-51) Be It Resolved, that the Village Board does hereby approve the Tax Warrant for the fiscal year ending 5/31/2017.
Deputy Mayor Pierce made a motion to approve, seconded by Trustee Ettinger.

Resolution (2016-52) Be It Resolved, that the Village Board does hereby appoint Village Treasurer, Emily Hayes and Village Clerk, Nancy Rittenhouse to collect taxes that may be due for the fiscal year 2016-2017, between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm except Saturday and Sundays and Legal Holidays.
Deputy Mayor Pierce made a motion to approve, seconded by Trustee Jablonski.

Resolution (2016-53) Be It Resolved, that the Village Board does hereby authorize, that pursuant to Section 1428 of the Real Property Tax Law the Warrant and Tax Roll for Collection of Village taxes of the Incorporated Village of Asharoken will be filed with the Village Treasurer for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2016 Taxes will be received at the Village Hall, One Asharoken Avenue, Northport, NY 11768, from June 1, 2016 daily from 9am to 3pm except Saturdays and Sundays and Legal Holidays until and including July 1, 2016 without penalty. Five percent will be added to taxes received after July 1, 2016 and one percent for each month thereafter until paid in full.

Resolution (2016-54) Be It Resolved that the Village Board does hereby approve the services of Breakwater Marine in the amount of $5000 for the tugboat and $3500 for the barge for the fireworks display on July 4th, 2016 (rain-date July 5th, 2016).

Trustee Burke noted an item in the contract that should be adjusted; Mayor Letica agreed and postponed the resolution until next month and asked Village Clerk, Nancy Rittenhouse to contact Fireworks by Grucci to make the change.
Resolution (2016-55) Be It Resolved that the Village Board does hereby approve the services of Parker Landscaping for $570.00 to rake out and top dress village hall grounds with 75lbs of seed and 5 bales of peat moss.

Resolution (2016-56) Be It Resolved that the Village Board does hereby approve the services of Safety Marking Inc. for $75.00 for a paint Stop Bar (12” x 12’) at the stop sign on Bevin Road.

Mayor asked the Board if there are any other issues to discuss.
Trustee Burke asked if we are making progress on hiring a part-time driver to act as a back-up for Barry Bradley. Mayor Letica noted that he completed his CDL test and an interview has to take place.
